Having joined The Paul Kaplan Group from another agency, John has always been interested in architectural design, urban planning, and historic preservation. Growing up in Wisconsin, he presented his case study to his hometown mayor and planning department of Green Bay regarding the demolition of its historic downtown; four of his significant remediated suggestions have been implemented. In Milwaukee, he refurbished a historic Italian colonial home.
John also has experience building sustainable homes in Taos, New Mexico, intrigued by its artistic, creative, and spiritual landscapes.
Shortly after graduation from the University of Wisconsin, John moved to California. His sense of exploration and love of California led him to experience life in San Diego, San Francisco, Sacramento, and Pasadena. Yet, he is attracted to Palm Springs, where he has owned since 2011; the desert’s healing vibe, striking colors, stunning mountains, buoyant lifestyle, and midcentury architecture have always resonated.
Before real estate, John worked in fundraising and development operations for major universities, where he analyzed the property holdings of ultra-high net worth individuals.
John keeps his word and is true to his instilled values of honesty, integrity, and trust to help you navigate the complexities of real estate transactions.
